Wiki Billing 58558 and 58563 together

My provider has performed a hysteroscopy including polyp resection using Myosure AND an endometrial ablation. I've been told that I can bill 58563 and 58558 together, but everything I research says I cannot.
Please help!

You are correct!

Per CMS/Medicare NCCI 2022 Coding Policy Manual Chap 7...
"All surgical laparoscopic, hysteroscopic or peritoneoscopic procedures include diagnostic procedures"
"Surgical laparoscopy includes diagnostic laparoscopy, which is not separately reportable"

Yes, 58558 and 58563 are CCI edits and may never be billed together. You would bill only the more extensive procedure 58563. Whoever is telling you that you can bill them together is incorrect.
