Wiki Billing 66984 for narrow angle glaucoma with no cataracts

My doctor is wanting to do a lens replacement for a patient that has narrow angle glaucoma but does not have cataracts. I advised him that there is not a CPT code so we would have to bill the unlisted code 66999 and we often have trouble getting that reimbursed. His response was "CMS has decided to cover cataract surgery in patients with narrow angles, so other insurers should follow suit and we should bill as a cataract surgery with the caveat that we are doing it for glaucoma rather than for improving vision." I am not finding anything that says I can bill 66984 without a cataract diagnosis and just use a glaucoma diagnosis. Does this sound accurate?
