Can 38220 bone marrow aspiration with -25 mod be billed with 96450 chemo therapy Administration if it is through two different sites?
 
Yes they can..do not use the -25 unless it is wth an office visit on done inpatient, with a visit....you use a modifiers 51-59 on the aspirate..the chemo usually pays higher..but you have to make sure the documentation supports it..Hope this helps!
 
i have a ? on 96450

the radiologist does the puncture, the the oncologist does the chemo admin into the cns.

the code is correct for the procedure, but what do we do if they are splitting the services like that?

Does anyone know?
