I'm currently working on a billing/coding project at work and need input on the Vital Wrap System. Please advise if you have any experience with a DME provider billing for both a Heat Therapy Pump with Pad (E0217) and/or a Cold Therapy Pump with Pad. Based on what I have read about the Vital Wrap system, the control unit on this device manages the temperature of the water to provide hot or cold therapy. So, is it correct to bill both E0217 & E0218? Based on your experience, please advise if you have ever seen both codes were used. Thanks.
