These is some discussion regarding billing out for an EKG and awarding 1 point for ordering the EKG since 93010 is for the intpretation only. I have a group of Doc's who are lazy and want me to not bill the EKG when the points are needed for MDM. Any thoughts?

Confused

Sorry, in your favor I'm confused. If the EKG is ordered, it is coded and billed without regard to how your providers want you to present it. You shouldn't be put into the position of deciding what to code or not to code. Either the procedure was done or it wasn't. And medical necessity was met or it wasn't.
