Can someone give me direction on how to bill the 88184, 88185 and 88189 for two different specimen on the same day?

Repeat testing

Medicare doesn't pay for two of the same flow cytometry panels in the same day, considering it non-covered repeat testing even if they are on two different specimens unless "the morphology or other clinical factors suggest differing results on different specimens." The documentation supporting that seems unlikely.

If these are the same panels, you can only bill one set.

i have got medicare to pay for to flows on the same dos, one on a bone marrow and one on peripheral blood, but yes, documenation must support medical necessity for both, but we have gotten this covered by many insurnaces on many occasions, medicare included. Not medicaid though, lets not get CRAZY.
