I work for a General Surgeons off that is a independant office, however 1 day a week he is doing a clinic at a Wound Clinic down the hall that is associated with the Hospital (HCA), the clinic itself will be billing for Physician and Facility Procedures but she says I will need to bill for the Physician Specific Services (E/M charge) is this correct? If so what would our office need to do to bill for his part through our system which is different from the Clinic/Hospital System, and wouldn't we need to notify insurance carriers for a different address and speciality?

Thanks in advance for all your help

You state that the hosp will be billling for Physician and Facility Procedures. Procedures only and not E/M? I don't believe then there could be any more charges for the pro side when his work is in the Wound Care Clinic. Even E/M, since the service took place in the hosp area.
