Are we able to bill for an assistant surgeon for subsequent procedures if we could not bill for a primary procedure?

Example:

29806, 29827, 29828, 29826

The primary procedure is 29806, which does not warrant the use of an assistant but everything else does.

If you order the codes by RVU value, 29827 is actually your primary, followed by 29806, 29828 & 29826.
Regardless, you may bill for the assist on any codes that permit it.
Hope that helps!
