Here's my scenario: Patient arrives at the hospital and spends the day in the Cath Lab. Then 2 1/2 hours in recovery then is taken to her room at 2030. (8:30 pm). She is discharged the following day at 1300 (1:00 pm). She was in her room for 16 1/2 hours. Does the hospital bill one day or two?
