Hello! We are new to locum tenens billing. We are looking for advice in billing for locum tenens services for OB/GYN providers. Example: Our regular OB/GYN provider performed all antepartum care and will provide the postpartum care as well. The locum tenens performed the delivery while the regular OB/GYN was out. Can we still bill for the global OB service? In this case it would be a vaginal delivery, so code 59400 with a Q6 modifier? Or do we split apart the global package and bill antepartum and postpartum care for the regular OB/GYN provider and the delivery only with the locum?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

As long as the locum is credentialed with the payer and you are reimbursing the locum for the service you bill globally.
