A patient is scheduled for an intake and then a new patient exam with my MD on the same day.

My MD wants to sit in on a patient's intake appt in order to gather data for her exam.

She wants to do this as a way to cut down asking repetitive questions and help cut down the appt time.

Can they combine appointments like that and bill out two different services? :confused:
 
Not sure I understand

I'm not sure I understand the scenario. What is "an intake?" Who is performing that service? Why is it different from the New Patient exam your MD will perform on the same DOS?

Remember that ROS and PFSH can be collected by anyone ... including the patient completing a questionaire. All the physician has to document is that s/he reviewed it and list the pertinent positive/negatives with a notation of where the original document is.
