We just had a physician resign, leaving only one. Is it ok to bill infusions without a doctor onsite. We have many CRNP's supervising the infusion. Is this acceptable or do you have to have a doctor onsite? Need help quickly. If you have an answer and could give me some resource- it would be great. I have to present this to my physician. Sincerely, Desperate

It is a physician's office.
I understand that we can bill an E/M without dr. , but I figured it would be different with infusions.
Do ya know?
Thx!

you can bill using the CRNA number but you cannot bill under your physician if he is not on site. Is that what you meant by billing an E&M without the dr?

I am sorry I am not being very detailed...
I know you can't bill if doctor is not onsite, I need to know if it is legal to bill an infusion with a CRNP only supervising?
Yes, they do have their own NPI.
