Billing Labs with Chemotherapy

Our hospital recently opened an outpatient department for hematology/oncology treatment. In a meeting last night, our revenue cycle representative stated that no labs could be separately billed as they are bundled with the chemotherapy service. I can't find documentation of this guideline and was wondering if anyone else was having this issue. We are aware that E&M services must be separately identifiable if provided on treatment days.

I code for a rural hospital and majority of our patients have labs the same day as their chemotherapy rather than having to drive into town twice. We have had no problems getting both paid, no modifiers needed. Unless your area's LCD is completely different, you shouldn't have a problem.
