Does anyone bill Medicare for Med Injections (96372) which are performed by RNs or LPNs? We are considered a Community Mental Health agency, and are in Oklahoma. Are we able to bill under the supervising physician, since the RNs and LPNs are not credentialed with Medicare? If so, is there a modifier that we need to use to designate this? I have tried calling Novitas but they will not give me an answer. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Yes an Rn Lvn or Ma can give injections under the direction of a physician and it is billed under the physician Npi. I work in a dr office in Texas and I give injections. I am an Rn and we bill mcr as long as it is a covered service?
