Hi!
I'd like to get some info about how other practices/hospitals handle the billing of afib ablations. My understanding is that they are very complex and require significantly more time to do. Currently, 93651 is the only code that can be billed for this (in addition to other services performed). The primary attending always employs the use of an assist because our fellows are not qualified to perform this delicate and difficult procedure. We are debating the pros and cons of billing 80/82 vs. a 22. Your opinions and info are greatly appreciated!!!
