We accepted a new LOP today, a car wreck injury. The attorney mentioned that the patient has PIP and said we can bill the patient's automobile insurance for it. Is this possible and if so, how do you bill for it? Is there a code? Thank you in advance for any light you can shed.

You bill for it the same way you would bill any commercial insurance; however you have to obtain all the necessary information from the patient about this claim so that all the accident fields can be populated and the claim will go through. ie Medical claims billing address, medical adjustor name, medical adjustor phone/fax/email, medical claim number, date of accident, state accident occurred...
