Can the referring provider and rendering provider be the same when billing for in-house lab service?

What services are you trying to bill? For services billed under a POS 11, you wouldn't need a referring provider on the claim; you can bill it out like any normal office visit claim.

We are trying to bill Nail Panels. This office has there own laboratory that is registered. Making sure we can bill using the same provider for referring and rendering because these are his roles.

We are POS 11 and we have a lab too. Yes, we have the rendering provider listed as referring and providing doctor when we see the patient, order the labs, and process them here. Same goes for the x-rays we do here as well.
