This is a claims question. I live in Minnesota and I received claims back that were not paid by Minnesota DHS with the group and reason code PI87. When I called DHS (not really friendly) they stated these claims were not being paid because Medicare paid more than the allowed amount therefore the remainder was a write off. They also told me that this reason code has been in effect since 2003. So I have been researching WPS and DHS websites and do not see any articles on this or even an 87 reason code. If anyone has information and could lead me where to find this information I would greatly appreciate it.
