Wiki Billing Twins for Tennessee Tenncare Amerigroup

Has anyone had any success for billing Amerigroup twins vaginal delivery? Do you use modifier 22 or 51?

I actually used a 59 modifier.
This is what my ACOG coding book suggested. Although they denied Twin B's delivery. I had to call them and explain that it was billed that way due to the delivery only of the 2nd baby and the diagnosis codes reflected that. They were under the impression I billed incorrectly for a singlet.
