How many billing units is 1cc of 4 mg per mL of dexamethasone? I have been told by some its 4 units, but others have also said 10 units, so now I am second guessing myself on which one to use.

1 cc and 1 mL are equivalent units of volume.

If the dexamethasone concentration is 4 mg per mL, then 1 mL (or 1 cc) contains 4 mg of dexamethasone.

CPT code J1100 is dexamethasone sodium phosphate, 1 mg.

Therefore, 4 mg of dexamethasone would be reported as 4 units of J1100.
