If a patient has a partial mastectomy and a BioZorb device sutured in place both as a fiducial marker and a structural/contour support for the breast mastectomy, what code would be appropriate to bill? I have researched and come up with 19499 (unlisted procedure, breast) and 19340 (immediate insertion of breast prosthesis following mastopexy, mastectomy or in reconstruction) as possible codes. What are your thoughts and rational?

Per AAPC webinar titled Coding Breast Procedures July 2018 you would use the appropriate tissue transfer codes 14000-14001/14301-14302. The webinar is available on demand and this is discussed on the very last slide.
