At my work, we use the trailblazor audit for to code all of our hematology/oncology notes. We have a debate going on, that we have been unable to find exact guidlines for; does anyone know if we can use blood as a location in the hpi portion of audit form? If so, why or why not.

Ex. Polycythemia vera
Location:blood

No...because by definition the condition is a blood disorder. It would not be found anywhere else. For example a laceration could be anywhere on the body..not just on an extremity.
