Wiki Blood Patch - Pain Management

Does anyone know anything about how this should be coded? Is there an additional coding for the drawing of the blood or is it included in the procedure?

Hi .. we do blood patches here in our office/ASC. Was this done due to a post dural puncture headache? I talked with my DON and she said the drawing of the blood to use for the patch is included in the procedure of 62273. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much. That is what I thought but I wanted to verify before I told the doctor.

Can anyone tell me where I can find this information? Doctor wants to see it in writing that it can not be charged separate for the blood draw.
