Wiki Blood Transfusion in Office

In our office we provide blood transfusions for our patients. We have been billing out the 36430 along with coding for the specific bllod product. My question is do we need to add a P-code and the BL modifier if we are doing this is office. I am understanding the BL modifier to be used in an outpatient setting, and we bill as in office. Please help!

I am not sure about the modifier however the P code should be billed by the department that provided the blood product to you. Hope that helps.
