Does the BMI require an additional code to bill it?

Yes BMI should have a obesity or Overweight code look at the dx E63 or E66 or E65 or R63.5 or R63.3 dx block with it. It states in ICD10 add additional code according to dx Z68 BMI% in the medical record. However if pt overweight while pregnant DO NOT use dx Z68 code use O99.21 and dx E66.
