Does anyone know if Medicare will cover an Office Visit ( E & M code ) with a BMI listed as only diagnosis. BMI over 30.0 ?

Thank you

Stacy

I cannot say one way or the other, but you would be better off using the obesity code rather than the BMI code. Our office has not had an issue using obesity.
