We placed tubes in this kiddo in April. He was in yesterday for routine follow-up. My doc codes ETD and FB bilateral. My quandry is the FB T16 - would this be initial (don't think so because we did not remove them) subsequent (it was a follow up) or sequela (the tubes were a sequela to the BMT???) Stumped.
 
I would bill Z96.22 - Presence of Myringotomy Tubes, Status.

It simply states that there are no problems and the reason for the encounter is to check on the status of the ear tubes.
