We have a patient that came in with open wound and his socket bone was exposed. The provider debrided some of the bone and sent it off for culture. What kind of procedure would this be billed as?

For patients that present with open wounds it's normal to perform debridement of the tissues since there is frequently infection and or necrosis of some of the tissues. If that is what was done you could use 11044.
