need to know how we bill for doing botox interdermal on the palms which requires serveral injection across the palm of the hand to mininize sweating.
procedure takes about 30 min. we will be using j0585 for the toxin.

any help would be greatly appreciated

In reviewing this procedure further, 3M takes me to
CPT 64999 (for procedure done in hands/ feet).
Also, in my CPT book (after 64653) is note that indicates that 64999 should be used for this procedure being done in hands or feet.

Good catch on the hands/feet note in CPT. I missed that. We haven't done hands or feet here, but good info for future! I agree with 64999.

Does anyone know if we need to add a modifier to either 64999 or 64650 when billed at the same time. We did botox injections for hyperhidrosis hand and feet as well as axilla on the same date of service
