Any advice on coding bowel adhesions with small bowel obstruction with an incarcerated ventral hernia would be great! Do I code both the adhesions and the hernia or one or the other. Thanks
 
since it is not an internal hernia I would code the hernia with obstruction and also the small bowel obstruction due to adhesions (560.81).
