I am looking for some insight on brachytherapy seed billing. Can an independent provider bill for the seeds when the brachytherapy is performed in an outpatient hospital setting?
I have read that he can only if procedure is done in place of service 11 or 49. I would think that the hospital would bill for the radioactive seeds and not the oncologist. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
