In outpatient coding,the dictation states:

Low volume loss?

What does that mean>
 
"Low volume loss" is probably a euphemism for atrophy. When the brain shrinks, the cranium can fill up with CSF. Patients presenting with neuro type symptoms (all ages...I see this ) are often found to have atrophy on MRI. Of course, this is only one of many reasons for brain-related symptoms.
