Can anyone give information on what the difference is between Dx 611.7x, 611.8x, and 793.8x? For example, if a report states probable nodular density would 793.89 be used as there is something there but the radiologist cannot pin-point what it is exactly?

Thanks
Shawn

Dx 611.7x is for pain, lump or nipple discharge or induration. 611.8x is for drooping breast, small breasts contusions.793.8x should be used if abnormal mammo or if the mammo shows microcalcification or mammographic calcifications only use 793.81,793.82 if there are calcifications on the mammogram.
