Hello, is there a CPT for just a breast exam? I don't think I code this as a well woman exam (G0101) because the patient refused a pap. Also, what dx code do I use for a breast exam? The patient doesn't have a family hx of breast cancer. This was just for a check up.
 
There is not a code for just a breast exam. If it was done as part of a preventative service (9939x) it's inclusive. If it was a Medicare patient it is not billable (alone) as a routine service.
