Should V43.82 be used for stating the patient has bilateral implants? I would think that is better than V15.89. Any advice?
Thanks,
Rob

For status only, without need of care use V43.82 for breast implants. I would not use V15.89 as it is an unspecified code.

If there was any fitting/adjustment of the breast implant see V52.4.

Awesome, thank you, that's what I thought. A tech at our facility keeps using V15.89 and I need to keep fixing the diagnosis codes before they get sent out and I started to second guess myself. I am new to the office and want to do it right.
Thanks again.
