Hello,
I'm wondering if someone could assist me with trying to figure this out. Our pediatric GI mid-level was shown bridles that could be used to help keep NG tubes in place for our pediatric patients. From what I have found the NG bridles are a tube/clip mechanism applied to the NG tube and loop through to just outside the patient's nose to keep the NG tube from being dislodged. From what information I have, the rep from the company advised our NP to bill 30999 for NG replacement and/or bridle placement. My thought is that the 30999 would not be appropriate and that NG tube replacements are bundled in with E/M services. Also the bridle would be considered inherent to the NG tube even though it is purchased separately.

If anyone has any experience with these, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello, did you ever get an answer regarding how to code/bill for the bridle placement? I am currently trying to get information on whether or not this can be captured with 30999. Also, are you billing A5200 for supplying the bridle?
