31623 brushings or protected brushings - does not state single or multiple in the definition of the code. Can this procedure be reported, once per encounter, once per side, once per lobe....?

I am getting an MUE Edit but it looks like -59 will let more than one go?

Code 31623 describes bronchoscopy using bronchial brushing(S), including protected bronchial brushing(S). Several passes of an unprotected brush may be necessary to acquire adequate cytologic specimens, and all are included in 31623.
