Is splinting included in the burn treatment or can I report the splint application also?

Did you check CCI edits? As far as I know splinting can be coded separately depending on who did the splinting. On the professional side it must be done by the provider not the nurse or tech to be billed separately. You may also find it bring denied if it's strictly done for comfort without a separate I-10 supporting medical necessity for splinting.
