Hoping someone can help me with this...

One of my company's clients is a Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic in Pennsylvania. They have speech-language pathologists and an audiologist. I was asked to look into whether the audiologist can bill CPT 92633 (auditory rehabilitation; post-lingual hearing loss). From what I have read from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's website, Medicare won't pay for audiologists billing anything other than an evaluation, and commercial plans have different policies on it. The main commercial plans the audiologist bills are Highmark and UPMC. I haven't been able to get a clear answer on whether the audiologist can bill 92633. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am leaning towards no, they can't bill this code since it's for rehabilitation, but I'm not 100% sure. I code for a third-party billing company, so I do coding for a lot of different specialties, but this is a new one, and I am looking for some guidance.

Thank you!
