My mom is a 15 year LPN that desperately wants to get out of bedside nursing. It's long overdue to the point she is burning out badly. She is interested in risk adjustment coding/CRC certification however she has a certification in MDS coordinating (I have no idea what this is, btw) and is trying to find a remote HEDIS job to build experience. She is also interested in a HEDIS coding program but she isn't sure which is best since it is hard to find information online, which brings me here.
Would it be smarter for her to go the HEDIS route and if so, what are reputable programs for her to enhance her knowledge? Or should she continue pursuing her CRC certification?
