The provider states, "excision of foreign body was removed from left subcutaneous tissue.... shaving of lesions and chemical cauterization. Utilizing a 312 blade the lesion was shaved, size 0.6cm to 1.0cm". So the provider shaved the area and removed a foreign body from the subcutaneous tissue. Isn't the foreign body removal part of the shaving? Or can both be billed? Thank you in advance.
