The ENDOSCOPY was
introduced through the sigmoid colostomy and advanced to
the terminal ileum, with identification of the
appendiceal orifice and IC valve. The colonoscopy was
performed without difficulty. The patient tolerated the
procedure well. The quality of the bowel preparation was
good.
Findings:
The surgical stoma appeared normal.
The colon (entire examined portion) appeared normal. were takeBiopsies n
with a cold forceps for histology.
A few small-mouthed diverticula were found in the sigmoid colon.
A single medium-sized angiodysplastic lesion without bleeding was found
in the cecum.
Coagulation for bleeding prevention using argon plasma was
successful.

The terminal ileum appeared normal. Biopsies were taken with a cold
forceps for histology.
