I've always been under the assumtion that if we submit a claim that is wrong, the insurance could deny those claims/line items but not change them. Am I wrong in this?

We billed an NST(59025) and a BPP w/o NST(76819), when we should have billed a BPP w/ NST(76818). The insurance paid the BPP w/o NST(76819), and then also added BPP w/ NST(76818) and paid that as well. I really thought they had to either deny or pay. Am I wrong in this before I call on the claim?
