Wiki Can we charge a selective subclavian angiography with a left heart cath?

Hello All! I am new to AAPC and so thankful to have found you guys! Does anyone know if we can charge 36215 for a selective left subclavian angiography when performed with a left heart cath? Thank you
Yes, you may. However whether or not you assign 36215 (selective catheterization arterial first order) or 36225 (selective Subclavian angiography with diagnostic angiography of the subclavian and Vertebrobasilar circulation) is going to,be based off of whether or not the selective angiogram is for the cervical/cerebral vasculature in the head and neck or if it's a selective Subclavian Angiogram non-head and neck.
Coding assignment for the left heart cath will be based off of whether or not diagnostic coronary angiography was rendered.
Shoot me a copy of the op note plz and if any other questions in regvardw to anything IR, CVIR, VIR, Neuro IR, or Cardiology in general. I'm happy to provide my expertise to assist.
