Can you use Past Medical History for ROS

If a provider documents under Past Medical History, Hypertension and Diabetes can you use the hypertension and Diabetes for Review of System.

No, I don't believe that would be appropriate. ROS is asking the patient a question and getting an answer. I'm obviously not looking at your exact scenario but why do you want to use it for ROS rather than just PMhx? Is it going to affect your code selection?
 
I would only use them if the ROS notes something about patient's diabetes (BS log, numbness or lack of in feet, etc). same with HTN, does patient have any complaints. Otherwise, it's just PMH
