Good Morning:

Patient scheduled for EGD and PEG plcment under MAC surgeon got as far as the EGD had to cancel procedure due to altered oral maxillary anatomy. Anesthesia time was 1908-2010. Question is since this was MAC do I still use modifier -53 to my anesthesia code?

73 & 74 are Anesthesia Modifiers used depending on cancellation prior or post administration of anesthesia. Hope this helps.
