Capsule Endoscopy

I read a GI article written by Rhonda Buckholtz whereby she stated that as of 2012 the date of service for a capsule endoscopy had changed to the date of interpretation. Prior to that, we were instructed to use the "hook-up" date. I can't find anything from CMS stating the date of service should be the date of interpretation. Does anyone have any information about this that they would be willing to share?
