Patient was in the office, capsule pill swallowed successfully with not issues. Three days later patient is stating the capsule pill did not pass. Xray was performed and capsule pill was not seen on the xray.
Since the capsule pill was not retreived so we do not have a report to show any images.
Since we purchase the capsule pill and we have the record of the patient swallowing the pill, could we bill the 91110 with a 52 modifier for reduces services?
Thanks for any input.
