Intervention cardiologist inadvertently ruptured the posterolateral branch of the right coronary artery while attempting to stent a stenosis.
I exchanged the occluding balloon for one of my microcatheters and placed four microcoils into the point of rupture, then exchanged my microcatheter for his occluding balloon and reinflated the balloon for half an hour. Repeat coronary arteriogram confirmed patency of the newly placed coronary stent and resolution of the distal leak.
What CPT codes would I use for this?
