Hi I am facing a problem in Cardiac coding. In report it's mentioned that left subclavian artery left internal mammary artery were identified appearing to be of good caliber and possibly adequate for bypass grafting if necessary. Does it indicate Grafting is done or it indicates grafting can be done by using these vessels. Thanks in advance for any help.......

The report would indicate whether grafting was done. If the patient is having a cardiac cath procedure then that is what was done. They wouldn't just do a bypass graft; that is a major procedure not done in the cath lab.

The procedure is more than likely indicating that a bypass graft procedure is required and that the left subclavian and LIMA may be suitable as grafts.
